I couldn't have said it better myself! Good luck with whatever you decide! I hope both of the their surgeries go well.Jennifer C. They had the same problem of a foreskin that was way too tight. They were a bit ticked off for a few days but the Lortab syrup seemed to help a lot!

If your son is having a procedure done anyway it may not be a bad idea to go ahead. A UTI can be very painful from what I've seen personally. Best wishes whatever you decide to do!Stephanie @ Ralphcrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04583389649340199260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-736480776103464755.post-87325390595551781682009-07-09T11:57:29.244-05:002009-07-09T11:57:29.244-05:00Wow, more surgeries... not fun!

Our reasoning is nothing religious either, but simply the fact that he IS very cognitively delayed and HAS had several infections of different sorts, and we believe that this low-risk and fairly simple surgery with a quick healing time (yes, I know, I'm not a man and it WILL hurt...) will probably allow him to be more independent in his self-care as an adult and save him from the future pain of UTI's and infections... But, we've been home almost 18 mos and haven't been able to schedule it yet. He's not quite 3 so it's different than bringing home an older child with an age-appropriate cognitive level too... I don't think there's anything wrong with not doing it, I just think we will...Meredithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07974293935380325338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-736480776103464755.post-712963930811965312009-07-09T07:26:51.776-05:002009-07-09T07:26:51.776-05:00My two Russians came uncircumcised and I've le...My two Russians came uncircumcised and I've left it that way. Mainly because they were older and also because it wouldn't really change anything, so they've been left "intact". We are Christians, but saw no religious need for it, either. It just seemed unnecessary to me at the time and I have no regrets (10 and 6 years later). Good luck on whatever you decide! It's a very personal decision, to be sure.Missyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04267667592744200477noreply@blogger.com
