Our boy Micah…

Here’s our boy, Micah…

Please meet, Micah Jonathan Malone

Micah – a derivative of Michael (and Misah).  Hebrew origin.  Means “one who resembles God”

Jonathon – Hebrew origin.  Means “gift of God.”

We had a very trying day Thursday.  There’s lots that happened that we are not ready to share yet, but just know that your prayers are what got us through.

We found out yesterday that the papers for Micah would be very delayed in coming.  We also were told that Matthew had lost his status as “orphan” which made him unadoptable (this is due to a documentation problem with the father).

We’ll tell more about the day sometime, but TODAY was a new day.  New mercy, new grace.

We had a great visit with Micah today and we found out that the papers would be ready (probably) on Monday afternoon.  We also found out around 11:30 this morning that the father had been found (of Matthew) and he had gone to a notary and done the paper work to allow us to adopt Matthew.

We are praising God.  Our emotions are in shambles.  We’re tired.  But we are BLESSING THE NAME OF THE LORD through it all.  He brought us.  He will complete what He has begun!

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy!

Here’s some pics of our visit with Micah this morning…

“Hey…they’re not looking!  Let’s make a break for it!”

So happy today.

He likes to hold books.  He likes to hold them against his face.

He was dying to go outside.  He was going to put on Mary’s coat so we bundled him up in his gear.  This lasted 30 seconds and he asked to go back inside.

He loved wearing Mary’s gloves!  So cute!

We had a wonderful time with Micah today.  We’re excited to bring him home to meet the family.

Be blessed our friends.  We’ll post pics of Matthew tonight after the visit…

What next?

Ok, so I turned up the volume and sat here and cried through all 5 1/2 minutes of it. Wow. And if I didn't confuse people enough by talking about "Misha" who we met and "Micah" who we adopted, well, now they're both Micah :) Love it.

What a curious sweet boy you have there! He is SO not where he is meant to be. I love how he's trying to get out the door! I've been praying that God would pave the way for you and make it smooth and I'll continue. Thanks for all the photos!

All I can keep saying is precious, beyond words! I watched the two videos with 2 of my grandchildren and was trying to explain to the 3 yr old that they didn't have a mommy & daddy and so you are taking them home forever to be their mommy & daddy!! Will keep praying, thanks for letting me share in on the journey!

Love you guys! It is so good to see the pictures of the boys!! We are praying each night for your family. It is also good to see the "local" Malone kids are doing what they do best...acting goofy... :-) Everyone keeps saying "the boys look so much like Eli!" You know what our response is... :-) Stay strong!

I'm just now finding your blog, and have been here well over an hour reading! I don't even remember how I got here. LOL Anyway, I'm Leah and my 12 year old daughter Angela has DS. I just had to comment what an AMAZING communicator Micah is! WOW! His language is going to blow you away in just a few weeks of being home. I did read your post from today, and I am saying a million prayers for Eli, and for your health as well as you try to recover so that you can care for your family. Congratulations on the blessings God has poured upon you!
